“because like real valiant fighters… we brave through life by being pieces of the missing Peace…”
To My Playmate….
All around are pieces of shattered envisage;
Every tear is like shrapnel embedded to the core of being,
Unable to mobilize the faithful wishes that ought to be.
You wanted solidified pillars of woven promises.
How is it to be formed?
Where would it be conceived?
How will it be born?
The soldiers had left nothing but bloodied footprints…
The air has not cleared of the smokes from gunfire …
The blast of cannons murmured horror that shackles the mind.
Peace has been desecrated.
I want to play around unflustered
So dear, oh dear…
Hand me over your unyielding fortitude…
Let me rebuild this ruined playground.

Reposted to note an earnest wish for everyone to cherish the humming lullaby of a peaceful night… far from the thundering blasts of war weapons fired by human greed… let all our days and nights be spent rebuilding our “ruined playground”…

yes, i do so agree! everyone has to cherish the humming lullaby of a peaceful night…as in other corners of the world war is raging and they can only wish and dream of what most of us takes for granted, a peaceful night.
….reminded me of your poem “duplicity” mam….two sides of a coin…you have a funny side…the one that laughs and simply raises an eyebrow to life’s intricacies to keep you sane enough to face the world….
…your other side is the one that recognizes the world as beyond understanding but within reach if only human hearts heed to the call for peace…i wish too that we could rebuild this ruined playground called earth with fortitude so that as friend eng and you say…everyone could cherish the humming lullaby of a peaceful night…
…and as to your two sides….i love them both because they blend oh so well….oh so well….
